How to Remove Linux from windows7/8 dual boot - without windows CD/installation disc



Linux is a great operating system but uninstall Linux  from a dual boot windows pc is not easy. We need to do such work to boot windows system after removing linux. This article explains how safely delete uninstall/remove linux without using windows disc.



Method 1:( Without using windows installation disc)

        Step0: Log into windows with administrative privileges.    

        Step1: Download EasyBcd from here or here.

        Step2: Install Easybcd.

        Step3: Open Easybcd and choose 'Bootloader Setup'.

        Step4: Select Install the Windows Vista/7 bootloader to the MBR.

        Step5: Click Write MBR button.

        Step6: Right click on My Computer, click ‘Manage’.
    
        Step7: Choose ‘Disk Management’ listed under ‘Storage’ and you will see all of your partitions listed there.
     Step8: Identify your linux partion.  The Linux partitions generally don’t have a file system listed with them (windows partitions are labled with ntfs/ fat).. So delete partion with no specified label (delete partitions not labled with ntfs/fat file system) .

       Step9: Restart Computer.
